Carolina Across Cultures
Carolina Across Cultures (CAC) is a community based doulas program focused on connecting communities through doula services. Our program focuses on assisting under resourced pregnant mothers with doulas from the same community and background. CAC’s aim is to foster a connection built on similar experiences and common cultural beliefs. Our program’s priority is to find mothers a doula who understands their cultural needs so they feel safe and heard. Through this we aim to open a new door for mothers who share a piece of their identity to build a strong foundation for their relationship with their doulas.
Our program looks to extend support to underserved mothers who identify as BIPOC and/or LGBTQIA+, are differently-abled, are survivors, use English as a Second Language, different religions, are from rural areas, and any other populations who commonly face disparities in healthcare. If you fall in any of these communities and would like to work with a doula who comes from a certain community or background please reach out to us and let us know!
If you are a prospective mother or doula who would like to join the program, or have any questions specific to CAC please fill out the form below
