Suchi is a DONA trained birth and postpartum doula, who is interested in bridging equity gaps that exist in our healthcare system. She says, “maternal mortality issues are exacerbated in non-resources-rich populations, but doula care is only available to people that are fairly well off.” Suchi founded BBDVS because she believes doulas have an unique opportunity and privilege of helping people through their reproductive journey.

Lauren is a DONA birth and postpartum doula and a DTI full-spectrum doula. She has supported over 50 birthing clients over the past 2+ years and has additional experience supporting families in their immediate postpartum and first weeks home. Vanita Patel
Vanita is a graduate from Nova Southeastern University with a BS in Neuroscience and Biology. She is passionate about working with underserved individuals who may not have access to proper maternal care. Through this platform, she is raising awareness by providing education to help reduce maternal mortality. Vantia says, “ women’s health is an area that needs more resources for reproductive rights.” She is hoping to continue to bridge equality to ensure good health of the birthing individual, which in turn ensures good health of the newborn child.

Jessica is a DONA-trained birth doula. Her favorite part about being a doula is being able to celebrate all the emotions that come with pregnancy and delivery. She finds that watching the birthing person work so hard and come out the other side with a new baby is rewarding and precious.
